Max is a professional controls engineer with 10 years of experience in power generation. He started his career by building and designing BOP controls systems for gas turbine power plants. After getting a few under his belt, he decided to follow the construction process into the field. He spent almost 2 years working in Greece and the Middle East commissioning a variety of GE controls systems. Upon returning to the states, Max became a product manager to better
guide GE’s controls systems in the energy space. He focused on a broader range of the industry to better grasp the Oil & Gas market and T&D infrastructure. With involvement on dozens of gas turbine facilities, Max’s area of focus is on system level BOP solutions that cover total plant-wide operations. His primary expertise lies on the development and installation of the Mark VIe Controls System. He holds his undergraduate and Master’s degree from the University of Virginia, and currently resides in Houston.
Kellan has over 10 years of experience in the power industry with a focus on controls/software engineering. He began his career in the 2-year rotational Edison Engineering Development Program at General Electric. Kellan earned his Master’s degree while working on the design, development and support of power generation equipment. He then spent the next several years working on the aeroderivative controls team supporting multiple gas turbine products including the LMS100 and LM6000. Kellan supported and led a range of projects covering: closed loop control, sequencing, simulation/model development, test development and execution, and software architecture design. As his expertise grew, Kellan became the LMS100 Controls Technical Lead in 2013, overseeing a team of control engineers across the globe. Through his leadership, the team successfully delivered on new unit requisitions, software upgrades, cost savings, and field support. He worked closely with customers to ensure the software improvements met their needs. He has attended several power industry conferences to promote software upgrades and receive direct customer feedback. Kellan’s expertise is in the design, development, testing, installation and field support of control systems, with a focus on the Mark VIe. Kellan earned a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas and a Master’s degree from North Carolina State University, both in Mechanical Engineering.
